Emily oversees claims administration and litigation from initial coverage and

claims analysis through resolution, including management of outside counsel, negotiations, mediations and reporting.

Prior to joining TransEleven, Emily was Senior Claims Counsel and Assistant Vice President for Fidelity National Financial, the leading provider of title insurance and settlement services to the real estate and mortgage industries. 

As Senior Claims Counsel, she investigated title insurance claims to identify obligations to insureds and lenders under varying policy forms.  Emily developed litigation strategies and directed outside counsel in complex real estate litigation.  She also analyzed liability exposure and strategies for settlement negotiations, including granting settlement authority to outside counsel.  In her capacity as Assistant Vice President, she also developed training programs for new claims attorneys and summer law clerks.

Emily has also served as a Law Clerk for one of Alabama's premier defense litigation firms and as a Judicial Intern for The Hon. L. Scott Coogler, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Alabama.
