Eric oversees claims administration and litigation from initial coverage and

claims analysis through resolution, including management of outside counsel, negotiations, mediations and reporting.

Eric has over 30 years of experience as an insurance defense and litigation attorney, specializing in civil litigation, insurance defense litigation, construction defects, medical malpractice defense, professional liability and product liability.

He has an extensive background managing a high-volume caseload of complex insurance defense matters, many with high-risk exposures.

Before joining TransEleven, Eric was a Partner and Owner at McCallum, Hoaglund and McCallum, a highly regarded, AV-rated civil litigation practice focused on insurance defense, medical malpractice, construction defect, product liability, and professional liability matters.  For over 20 years, he represented insureds, insurers and third-party administrators in complex bodily injury and property damage litigation in state and federal courts throughout Alabama.

He is skilled in all phases of litigation and has expertise in working with insurers

and claims professionals to develop solutions in complex insurance defense and litigation matters, in fast-paced claims litigation environments.  Eric has also worked as an attorney in two other civil litigation firms, where he represented individuals and corporations handling both plaintiff and defense cases in general defense litigation, business torts litigation and real estate dispute matters, as well as complex construction defect litigation.

He is a member of the Construction Law Sections of the Alabama and Texas State Bars.  Eric is also proficient in handling insurance coverage matters, including bad-faith issues.
