Starr oversees claims administration and litigation from initial coverage and claims analysis through resolution, including management of outside counsel, negotiations, mediations and reporting.

Starr is a highly skilled attorney with over 10 years of experience in insurance defense handling a wide range of professional liability and general liability claims.

Prior to joining TransEleven, Starr was In-House Counsel for American Risk Insurance where she handled all regulatory compliance and litigation, including management of external counsel as well as negotiating critical business contracts and agreements.

Starr is also a former law partner in a highly regarded insurance defense firm where for several years she managed a large caseload of transportation, personal injury, commercial, first-party, premises liability, products liability, construction defects and professional liability matters.  Starr also served as counsel for excess carriers and was responsible for risk management assessments on high-value cases.  She also has substantial experience handling complex product liability and catastrophic personal injury cases.

Starr has specialized training in contracts working as a Contract Attorney and has authored numerous appellate briefs on cases involving trademark and patent issues.  She has also worked as an attorney handling civil, criminal and criminal appellate cases, including post-conviction capital murder cases.
